U.S. Planning Group for Ninth International Conference on Permafrost
(NICOP)
Scope:
Under the U.S. Permafrost Association a U.S. Planning Group for
NICOP will develop an initial prospectus to include the following
tasks:
1. Venue and schedules including field excursions.
2. Initial budget and national and international funding strategies.
3. Plans for abstract and paper review and publication of proceedings.
4. Develop timeline for circulars, registration, and related deadlines.
5. Provide initial input for co-sponsorship with other national
and international organizations and programs.
6. Make recommendations for membership of a U.S. National Committee
for NICOP.
The prospectus will be prepared in time for review and approval
at the annual meetings of the USPA in December 2004.
